Andy Hill married the woman of his dreams in 2021. Together, they’re raising a boy and twin girls, who are the ultimate joy of their life. Professionally, Andy is a serial entrepreneur who’s founded 10+ startups. Some scaled, some failed.
Andy now serves as the Founder and CEO of Sundial, an alternative investment manager building enduring strategies in private equity, real estate, hedge funds, equities and ventures - all backed by our multifamily office.
Before founding Sundial, Andy held pivotal roles at CITY Furniture as the Chief Revenue Officer and later as Chief Marketing & Innovation Officer, where he helped transform the company into one of the leading furniture retailers in the U.S. In these roles, Andy was responsible for driving revenue growth across three verticals: Retail, Contract, and Innovation, managing a team of over 1,000 associates across 32 locations with a payroll exceeding $75M annually.
During his tenure, CITY Furniture nearly doubled its sales to over $800M, earning national recognition as Furniture Retailer of the Year. The company became a Top 100 Importer in the U.S. and was ranked as one of the Top 10 Retailers to Work For by LinkedIn. Andy’s efforts led to a 30% reduction in turnover, a 25%+ increase in profit SKUs, and a $16M reduction in his department’s overall payroll spend.
While there, Andy had an agreement with CITY that allowed him to build another business on his nights and weekends. In 2019, that firm (Siono) was featured in Inc. Magazine as one of the fastest growing companies in the US (ranking 193rd). His story in scaling this lifestyle business can be found in Inc. Magazine.
Prior to CITY Furniture, Andy served as the Chief Strategy Officer for Peak Activity, where he helped organizations develop and execute their digital modernization strategies. He founded Atlis, a predictive sports analytics firm leveraging machine learning to become one of the world’s top predictors of baseball in 2016. And before that, he built Stand4, a social good technology app that failed miserably.
Andy earned his MBA in Finance and Bachelor’s in Entrepreneurship, Management, and Marketing—all within four years—from the University of Dayton, where he graduated magna cum laude.
When not spending time with his family, Andy plays tennis, is an avid-learner who’s constantly curious, and prioritizes giving back to a few causes that are very special to him.
